Titus 3:7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. Scruffy knew hope. Every day at the puppy farm, he hoped to be adopted. Now that he was sleeping beneath a Christmas tree, he knew a different kind of hope. He would meet his new boy in the morning. His adoption was no longer a mere possibility, it was an accomplished fact. All that was left was the fulfilment. There are many things we hope for. Nice weather, a good job, the right spouse... but we Christians also have a different type of hope. We have the promise of eternal life with our God, and that is an accomplished fact. We await only the fulfilment of the promise. Praise God that we need have no doubt about His promise of eternal life.
